Charlie Solyom  lead guitar and background vocals.
Charlie's list of musical accomplishments date almost as far back as Rik.  He has both a jazz and classical background.  When you hear Charlie on lead, you truly feel what the song is about.

Sandy Petkewicz  keyboard, synthesizer. background vocals
Rik asked Sandy to join The Runaways one month after she retired from a 31 year high school mathematics teaching career.   Sandy has been playing keyboard since age seven and taught organ during her high school and college years. She played in two rock bands in high school. They were 60's bands because it WAS the sixties!  When Sandy is not performing with The Runaways, you'll see her out dancing at the shows of her favorite 50's, 60's, and Beatles tribute bands.

Tom Petkewicz   rhythm guitar
Tom got his start in music by playing guitar at folk masses.  He played at coffee houses in the late 60's performing hits from legends like Simon and Garfunkel, The Kingston Trio and Peter, Paul & Mary.  Now, after retiring from a 34 year teaching career, he's back rockin' & rollin' with The Runaways.  He is the McGuyver of the band, able to fix just about anything that needs fixin'.

Wally Koch  bass guitar and background vocals
Bassist Wally has gravitated toward low-pitched instruments all his life.  He is truly a bass, viol kind of guy.   In addition to electric bass, Wally also plays string bass, tuba, and guitar.  He enjoys and has performed a wide variety of styles.  After a late Saturday night with The Runaways, he often enjoys spending Sunday mornings performing with a traditional jazz group that specializes in New Orleans-style worship services.
ClThe Runaways, a high-energy seven-piece band, will have you dancing and singing to the great songs of the 50's and 60's.  We will bring you back to a time of sock hops and cruising in your car while playing your favorite songs on the AM radio.  You will rock to oldies from artists that include  Lesley Gore, Bobby Darin, Freddy Cannon, Buddy Holly and Ricky Nelson, as well as soul era hits of Aretha Franklin and Sam Cooke.  Having both male and female vocalists allows us to cover a greater variety of songs from that era.  Our outfits will visually bring you back to a time of poodle skirts and dances such as "the jitterbug", "the twist", "the stomp" and "the mashed potato".  We are a family-friendly band that all ages enjoy.  So come on out for a great time with                                                                                             The Runawaysk here to add text.
